Masjid Mtoro, a mosque in Kariakoo, Tanzania, has been equipped with a state-of-the-art TOA Public Address System to ensure crystal-clear sound coverage throughout the prayer hall and surrounding areas.
Mosques present unique acoustic challenges due to their large, open spaces, reflective surfaces, and the need for clear speech intelligibility during prayers and sermons. To overcome these challenges, Masjid Mtoro now features a carefully designed TOA sound system, including:
• MX-6224D Mosque Amplifier – Optimised specifically for mosque applications, ensuring precise tonal balance and clarity.
• Multiple Digital Power Amplifiers – Delivering efficient and high-quality amplification for consistent sound distribution.
• SR-S4 Slimline Array Speakers – Providing even coverage and reducing reverberation in the expansive prayer hall.
• F-Series Wide Dispersion Cabinet Speakers & BS-1030 Wall Speakers – Enhancing intelligibility in different sections of the mosque.
• TC Horn Speakers – Ensuring announcements and calls to prayer reach the congregation both indoors and outdoors.
Additionally, a selection of TOA microphones has been integrated for various applications:
• EM-362 Imam Neck-Worn Microphone – Allowing the Imam to deliver sermons hands-free with excellent voice clarity.
• DM-1500 Handheld Microphone & TOA 5000 Series Wireless Microphones – Providing flexibility for different speaking and recitation needs.
This project was successfully supplied and installed by The Registered Trust of Khalid Islamic Foundation t/a AZAM, ensuring a professional and seamless implementation.
TOA is honoured to contribute to the worship experience at Masjid Mtoro, delivering sound solutions that enhance prayer and communication in this sacred space.
